First Architecture was commissioned to provide architectural services
in connection with the conversion of a former Public House to a Church
and Community Centre, for the Living Waters Christian Fellowship, Darnall,
Sheffield
Recreational
Play Area, Bradford
Provizion
First Architecture was appointed by Action for the Odsal Community (AFTOC)
to design a Recreational Play Area for the use of toddlers and young
children in the 3 to 6 years age range. The object was to provide safe,
secure and accessible facilities for all young children in the Odsal
area of the city.
The scheme, which was considered and approved by West Yorkshire Police,
adheres to the principles outlined in the Secure by Design (SbD) guidance
document on play spaces.
Youth Pod,
Bradford
The Practice
was once more appointed by AFTOC, this time in cnnection with a Youth
Pod to provide a meeting place for the local youth. The Pod provides
basic accommodation as a shelter and meeting place, and delivers up
to two sessions of Youth Provision per week, a figure which will rise
as time goes by.
